Unfortunately IE has dropped support for DX filters.
You could try achieving a similar effect using SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). Here’s an interesting article on black and white images with SVG.

Now that Opera has moved to the webkit / blink engine it has dropped the -o- prefix.
